How to care for…

Dream Calf

Dream is a soft and delicate leather, notable for its sleek, transparent appearance. Its charm comes from the fact that its natural characteristics are completely visible. No two skins are alike, making every Dream creation totally unique.

Care instructions

Your Delvaux is made of the highest quality Dream leather, sourced from Switzerland. It has been selected and crafted with great care by our master craftsmen working in our workshops in Belgium and France. A delicate tanning process has enhanced its natural features which will vary from one leather article to another and will soften over time.

We recommend taking the following steps to preserve the timeless beauty of your leather:

  • First of all, if your Delvaux should be damaged in any way, please take it to one of our boutiques or contact our customer support.

  • Store your Delvaux in its original dustbag and stuff it with tissue paper to preserve its shape.

  • Take care not to overfill your Delvaux as this could permanently damage its shape.

  • Avoid all contact with oil, grease, perfume and cosmetics.

  • If the leather gets wet, gently dab dry with a soft, clean cloth to avoid staining.

  • Exposure to direct sunlight or heat must be avoided as the natural nature of Dream leather makes it susceptible to fading and discoloration.

  • Avoid contact of dark-coloured clothing against light-coloured leathers and dark-coloured leather against light-coloured garments, as dye transfer could occur.

  • The metal hardware will develop a patina over time. Any metal pieces can be cleaned by gently rubbing with a soft, dry, non-abrasive cloth.

  • Do not use Delvaux's 'First Care' range on your Delvaux as it is not suitable for this leather.

Boutiques

Should your Delvaux be stained or damaged in any way, please do not try to repair it yourself. Simply take it to one of our boutiques or contact our customer support.
