How to care for…

Felt

Our Felt is created out of the highest quality and most resistant natural wool felt from France. This heather-grey, warmed and uniquely textured material lends an air of relaxed sophistication to any design.

Care Instructions

Your Delvaux item is made of the highest quality wool felt of Italian origin. It has been selected and created with the greatest care by our master craftsmen in our workshops in Belgium and France.

We recommend taking the following steps to preserve the timeless beauty of your leather:

  • First, if your Delvaux is damaged in any way, take it to one of our boutiques or contact our Customer Support.

  • Remove loose dirt with a soft brush or lint roller.

  • Take care not to overfill your Delvaux as this could permanently damage its shape.

  • Avoid all contact with oil, grease, perfume and cosmetics.

  • Wash in cold or lukewarm water to prevent shrinking, and handle with care to avoid damage. Store in a cool, dry place when not in use.

  • Act quickly on stains by blotting with a damp cloth and mild soap if needed.

  • Pat dry wet felt and let it air dry away from heat or sunlight.

  • Avoid exposure to direct sunlight or heat, to avoid any fading or discoloration.

  • Avoid contact with dark-coloured clothing against light-coloured leathers and dark-coloured leather against light-coloured garments, as dye transfer could occur.

  • The metal hardware will develop a patina over time. Any metal pieces can be cleaned by gently rubbing them with a soft, dry, non-abrasive cloth.

  • Do not use Delvaux's 'First Care' range on your Delvaux as it is not suitable for felt.

Boutiques

If your Delvaux gets stained or damaged in any way, do not attempt to repair it yourself. Simply bring it to one of our boutiques or contact our Customer Support.
